E-levy Is Ghana’s Biggest ‘Hope’ In Getting Money For Development – Yaw Buabeng Asamoah

The debate as to whether E-levy should be accepted or not has already begun this year. Many people are still arguing about why the E-levy should still not be accepted whiles others have also shown their support for the introduction of the E-levy.

National Communication Director for the New Patriotic Party, Yaw Buabeng Asamoah has earlier today “opened” a fresh debate on the E-levy. Speaking on Kessben TV program “Maakye” with Mr Speaker, Yaw Buabeng Asamoah reveals that the E-levy is the biggest hope of Ghanaians if the country wants development.

He explained that, Ghanaians mostly compare Ghana to other developed countries. He stated that though it is good to compare Ghana to the developed countries but the developed countries reached the highest level of development through the payment of “tax”.

He added that the needs of Ghanaians are now many and therefore the country needs money to service all those needs. He therefore encouraged Ghanaians to accept the E-levy so that the government gets money for embark on developmental projects.What do you think about this news?
