He said it in 2017 and nothing has happened. Let’s forget about it.

A lot of words came out of the mouth of the first gentleman of our country, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo and how Ghanaians have been reacting shows that things are not going well in the country. The Ghana National Association of Teachers GNAT had their 6th Quadrennial National Delegates Conference in Kumasi and the president made a lot of statement.

From the president, his government is talking with the various teacher unions to provide teachers with more housing opportunity. He added that the 10,000 housing will be provided for teachers between the next two years.

“In addition, the Ministry of Works and Housing is in discussion with teacher unions to provide more housing opportunities for teachers. Within the next two years, it is proposed that ten thousand (10,000) housing units on affordable terms will be developed for teachers across the country.” The president said.

Ghanaians have descended on him for making this statement. Some believe that the president is just playing with teachers because he made many promises to them and most of them have not been fulfilled. Some too have he said what he said way back 2017 and nothing has been seen so teachers should forget about it. Some too have called on the government to fulfill his previous promises before he makes new ones. Read some comments beneath.
