Koku Anyidoho has said that if the NDC delegates make a mistake and elect Johnson Asiedu Nketiah as their next chairman for the party, they(NDC) will lose the 2024 general elections.
‘I have said if NDC delegates make a mistake and for any reason, Asiedu Nketiah becomes chairman of NDC, let us forget about the 2024 elections. We will not win’, Anyidoho said on Assase radio.
The former deputy general secretary of the National Democratic Congress, speaking on the Assase Breakfast show, reiterated that the current General Secretary of NDC, Asiedu Nketiah, has outlived his usefulness and is not bigger than the constitution of the party. He said the party will risk winning the 2024 general elections if he(Asiedu Nketiah) wins the chairman position in their upcoming delegates’ congress.
‘The revolution has already started in Cape Coast. I am telling you that one person who is leaving office is Johnson Asiedu Nketiah; he has outlived his usefulness and will leave office.’
Johnson Asiedu Nketiah is contesting against the incumbent national chairman Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo in their upcoming delegates’ congress of the party.
Koku Anyidoho believes a win for his former boss will be unfavourable for the party(NDC).
The National Delegates Congress is slated for this Saturday, December 17, 2022, and will take place at Accra Sports Stadium.
About 10,936 delegates from 276 Constituencies are expected to participate in all the activities, the election of national party executives.Â
