Exodus 15:9 The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.
A sword is an offensive and defensive weapon used in battle. The enemy hasn’t changed his tactics in war. He still deploys this instrument in warring against the people of God.
In the song of victory sang by Moses after God delivered them from the hand of the Egyptians, the Lord disclosed to him the evil intentions of the enemy. He said in his heart that he will draw out his sword and destroy the Israelites.
An evil sword is passing through the land to kill its targeted victims but you shall be exempted by the blood of Jesus from this wicked judgement.
God has many good things in store for you in the year 2023. Therefore Satan has made you a target of evil and does not want you to see the light of the new year. However the good news is that we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus who loved us and gave his life for us.
God has blessed us with the gift of prayer to escape the judgement of this sword of destruction.
Take a break and pray. He hears the prayer of the righteous.
Oh God of my life, deliver me from the evil sword assigned to slaughter men before the year ends. I declare that I am covered by the blood of Jesus and preserved from the grave. Oh God of my righteousness behold their evil plan to terminate my life and arise in your righteousness indignation. Lord Let the sword be turned upon their own neck while I escape safely. I shall not die but live to declare the goodness of the Lord in the name of Jesus. Amen
