GFA General Secretary Blasts Lying Ghanaian Journalist

The General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association, Prosper Harrison Addo has rubbished claims of the Black Stars having jersey issues.

Several media reports spread apace that the national team’s equipment manager had left the World Cup jerseys in Ghana before emplaning to Qatar.

Harrison Addo in a tweet watered down those claims, confirming that the World Cup equipment had directly been sent to Qatar by kit manufacturers, Puma.

The Black Stars are making their fourth FIFA World Cup appearance after the first entry in 2006 in Germany.

Their group stage finish in Germany was bettered in the second appearance in South Africa four years later where they finished in the quarter finals – equaling Cameroon and Senegal’s record.

They however exited the 2014 World Cup at the group stage but missed out on the 2018 edition in Russia. The Black Stars managed to beat arch rivals, Nigeria to qualify.
