Ex-Black Stars defender, Shilla Illiasu has jumped to the defence of Black Stars players ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Black Stars have often been caught up battling winning and qualification bonuses with the 2014 saga the biggest issue.
The Black Stars have been paired against two old foes, Portugal Uruguay and South Korea in group H for the World Cup in Qatar that in the next one week.
Shilla Illiasu who played at the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany which was Ghana’s first appearances, says the players don’t really to the World Cip to chase money.
“Although everybody is looking for money but I will say it is not about that.
“Most of the players some of them are playing outside, the money they are taking it’s not about the winning bonus in the national team.
“So they only target to go and make their name and get more contract outside.
