“Ghana is Going to The World Cup With an Experimented Squad” – Yamin

Former Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports, Joseph Yammin, has lamented on poor player selection for Qatar 2022 World Cup citing experimental players for the mundial.

Hon. Yammin, believes there is no team cohesion in the Black Stars ahead of the tournament starting this month.

“In football, cohesion is very important”.

“But we in Ghana are still experimenting, and we have just one match to play to the World Cup”.

“And so as at now, we don’t know which players are pairing.

So we playing our last match without a team and we’ll not have any other opportunity to play among ourselves again before the World Cup”.

“So at the World Cup, we will be playing our first match with an experimented team.

And your first match if it doesn’t go well with you , then there’s a problem”.

“So to me, I think that we don’t have a team going into the World Cup.

And I don’t know how we’ll be able to turn things around because the experience of the team, lies in how many matches they’ve played among themselves together”.
