Eden Hazard has struggled to replicate his impressive form for Chelsea in the Real Madrid’s jersey since he signed for the club in 2019.
The attacker who was tipped to win the Balon D’or in his first season with Real Madrid has suffered several injuries that has seen him limited with game time.
According to sources close to the club, Real Madrid have lost hope in the player but are waiting for the World Cup to end before making a decision on whether to sell or loan the player.
The sources have also indicated that English Premier League club, Aston Villa are one of the front runners for the Belgian’s signature should he be available. Although Chlesea fans would have wanted to see the player return to the club, a move is ruled out at the moment. The new owners are focused on signing RB Leipzig’s Nkunku and Milan’s Rafa Leao.
Eden Hazard is currently back from an injury and is training with the Real Madrid team.
