Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency NDC Executives Election 2022 Results

The Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency National Democratic Congress (NDC) elections has ended with the incumbent constituency chairman, Mr Alhaji Osman Salia emerging as the winner from the fiercely contested race.

Mr Alhaji Osman Salia, a businessman in the Tuna township of the STK district amassed 535 votes to retain his seat while Mr Mohammed and Mr Ollo polled 309 and 154 votes cast respectively.

The vice chairmanship position saw a certain Mr Mahama Zakaria beat his rival Farouk Abubakari with 554 votes against 439 votes.

Mr Chorchitey Mathew the incumbent constituency secretary, retained his position with 504 votes while his competitor, Mr Chopire Joseph narrowly missed out with 492 votes.

Mr Osman Abdalla, a teacher at the Sawla E/A School was elected as the deputy secretary polling 516 votes whilst Gayoni Charles and Sie Charles Gminkaara Jesus polled 361 and 115 votes respectively.

They were only two individuals that vied for the organizer position this year with Mr Nuujal Joseph coming on top with 674 votes while his rival Benjamin Jimah Adams had 316 votes. Nogitey Joseph became the deputy organizer with 520 votes, Amadu Sumaila also had 280 votes and Emmanuel Bialjiltey had 180 votes.

Adamu Seidu was elected as the treasurer with 453 votes while Saaka Sinkina polled 349 votes and Amidu Mutalim with 183 votes. Whereby the deputy treasurer position went to Kulah Raphael who amassed 451 votes to beat Mahama Adams and Seidu Salia Abdul-Fatawu who were leveled at 269 votes.

Another keenly contested position was the communication officer side where Ebaltey John narrowly beat his competitor, Kipo Elijah Bakari with only 2 votes polling 500 and 498 votes respectively. Isaac Maamul also won the deputy communication officer position with 461 votes followed by Mwaangu Jacob who had 351 votes and Issah Hamza registering 174 votes.

Alhassan Hussein polled 611 votes to beat his colleague Abudu Mahamadu who had 380 votes to become the new Zongo Caucus leader.

Sorfitey John also did well to retain his position as the youth organizer with 52 votes, Amegah Mohammed registered 31 votes whereas Bodai Ahmed also polled 30 votes. Also, Kipo Isaac Sunyazi emerged as the deputy youth organizer with 56 votes, Emmanuel Jieme with 38 votes and Tomah Salifu had 20 votes.

The youth representative position was contested by three (3) people with Anbon Emmanuel becoming the outright winner with 65 votes, Seidu Mubarik had 28 votes whilst James Mahama Kipo tallied 22 votes.

In this year’s STK constituency NDC executive elections, the most anticipated and talked about contest was the women organizer position which was contested by four (4) vibrant women and at the end of the exercise, the incumbent Madam Kunyangna Sarah was retained by the delegates with 59 votes, Alhassan Rahinatu followed closely with 47 votes whereby Saako Salifu Umu-Hani had 7 votes and Suzana Yirlo closed the race with a single vote. Madam Agnes Naamwindoo the incumbent deputy women organizer went unopposed.

Saaka Jacklyn, Awudu Mariama, Seidu Yahaya, Mumuni Alima, Kanyasi Gbolo Benard, Nanta Francis, Yaane Moses and Saaka David Adamu were elected as the other executive committee members of the party at the constituency level. Than you.
