Check out the head-to-head record as Black Stars play Brazil in pre World Cup friendly on Friday

Ghana, will take on Brazil in an international friendly on Friday evening as both countries continue with their preparations for the tournament later this year.

The game is set to be played in the French city of Le Harve as both nations put finishing touches on their preparations ahead of the event in November and December.

Going into this engagement, the technical teams of both nations will use the game to access their players, and get further insight into those who will make it into their final squad for the tournament.

It is important to look at some of the matches played between the two sides to get an insight into what is likely to happen in this Friday’s encounter in France.

Ghana first played Brazil at senior level on March 26, 1996 with the Brazilians winning the friendly encounter 8-2 on home soil.

The next game between the two sides, was a competitive encounter played at the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany with Brazil again, winning 3-0 on June 27 of that year.

Ghana next played Brazil in an international friendly on March 27, 2007, and, the Brazilians won the day 1-0.

The last time Ghana played Brazil, was in another friendly played on September 5, 2011, with the Brazilians yet again winning 1-0, to confirm their dominance over the Black Stars.

It is four wins out of four for Brazil over Ghana, at senior lever, and, the onus lies with the Black Stars to reverse that trend on Friday evening in France.
