Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech has been announced as one of the players in the squad list ahead of Morocco’s international friendlies this month.
The player had a long-strained relationship with former Morocco boss and therefore announced his decision to retire from the national team as long as the Coach Vahid Halilhodzic was in charge.
The coach was recently sacked by the Moroccan FA even though he helped the country qualify for the World Cup in Qatar. New Coach Regragui has included Ziyech in the squad for the friendly games against Chile and Paraguay.
Hakim Ziyech remains one of the brightest spots in the Morocco squad. He missed the 2022 AFCON tournament due to his retirement from the national team. However, with the new coach, it is hoped that he will be part of the squad for the World Cup in November.
Ziyech has been recently criticized heavily for his performance against Dinamo Zagreb in Chelsea’s first game of the Champions League. The winger was a second half substitute but provided one of his worst performances in a Chelsea shirt.
