The Minister for Communications and Digitisation is autocratic – A-Plus hits hard on Ursula Owusu

Practically, there is no system without inefficiencies and loopholes, but when these arise, there is the need to accept the full responsibility, and correct them as early as possible. The best way to go about it, is to set up a corrective strategy in advance so that it does not eat into other systems, before it is rectified. It however appears that, systems created by our Institutions in this country turn out to become real problems, instead of solutions. And when citizens confront leaders in charge of those systems, they tend to snob them. This has grown to become a strong force of autocratic leadership, leading to so many instances of inconveniences in our public institutions.

An instance is what we are currently experiencing. While some experts are arguing that the rationale behind the SIM card re-registration is senseless because Parliamentarians do not listen to Ghanaians when making laws, others are of the view that institutional failure and leadership deficit are accounting for all this problem. 

But even if the problem has already been birthed, why not accept the responsibility, instead of shifting the blame to Ghanaians? It is true that some Ghanaians have intentionally refused to do the SIM Re-registration, but I do not think those with genuine concerns should suffer for something they do not have control over. 

According to Osei Obeng Asare, well known as A-Plus, the Minister for Communications and Digitisation, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful is autocratic that is why she is not being sensitive to the plights of Ghanaians, amidst several complaints made by them. 

She does not even care about the number of business activities and transactions this SIM card blocking has disrupted, but she is only concerned about meeting a deadline!

Meanwhile, he has taken an entrenched decision to go to court for the court to call on the NCA to rescind its decision on the issuance of punitive measures to those who have not done their SIM Re-registration, per their database records.
