Accra Hearts of Oak have been boosted by the return of one of their talismanic attacking midfielders ahead of their opening game.
The Phobians Will are away to former Ghana Premier League Champions, Aduana Stars fc at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday.
Hearts of Oak in the last two seasons have managed to claim the league title, FA Cup title and an automatic Super Cup trophy.
The Phobians last won the President Cup at the expense of their bitter rivals, Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Hearts of Oak were a toast of their fans and many Ghanaians when they claimed the domestic treble last two seasons over arch rivals, Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
They defeated now demoted AshantiGold in the finals of the MTN FA Cup by 8-7 on penalty shootouts after the entire game the extra time producing no goals.
Last season however, the Phobians missed out on the Ghana Premier League title to arch rivals, Asante Kotoko much to the anger of the club’s teeming fans.
They however managed to claim the MTN FA Cup after they came from a goal down to beat Bechem United 2-1 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The Phobians will boosted by the return of talismanic attacking midfielder, Salifu Ibrahim who has recovered from a long standing injury.
