Breaking: Atletico Bilbao Forward Gets Black Stars Call up

Athletic Bilbao forward, Inaki Williams has earned his debut Black Stars call up ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be staged in Qatar.

The 28-year-old switched nationality to play for Ghana after several years rejecting the offer to play for his country of birth.

The Black Stars of Ghana have been paired against South Korea, Uruguay and Portugal for the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be staged in Qatar.

The Black Stars will play two friendly games before they kick start their World Cup campaign.

They will play five time and record World Cup title holders, Brazil in the friendly game before taking on Nicaragua in the second friendly game.

Ghana will be making a fourth World Cup appearance after three consecutive outings in 2006,2010 and 2014 in Germany, South Africa and Brazil respectively.

Ghana’s best performance was a quarter final place finish at the 2010 FIFA World Cup held in South Africa where they were eliminated by Uruguay.
