UG Postpones Election Date –

The office of the electoral commission, Students’ Representative Council of the University of Ghana has postpone its internal election.

Acting on Article 11 Clause (g) of the Constitutional Instrument (C. I. 22) regulating the conduct of the 2022 SRC election, it is announced for the information of all Candidates, stakeholders, and the entire University community that the 2022 SRC election has been postponed until further notice. 

Postponing the election date has become necessary following the outlawed involvement of stakeholders, which has avoidably retarded the readiness of the Commission to supervise and conduct the 2022 SRC election, which was scheduled to take place in September 2nd, 2022. 

As soon as possible a news date for the election will be announced after all hold-ups have been resolved in line with the binding of the Constitutional Instrument (C. I. 22) and the SRC Constitution governing the 2022 SRC elections. 

The electoral commission sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience this decision might cause
