My Northern Name Is Masawudu:I Have Sisters Called Hawa And Adiza -KKD Speaks More On His Ancestry

Kwesi Kyei Darkwah aka KKD is hitting on some hard truths, the elephant in the room that many of us refuse to confront.

John Dramani Mahama’s presidency seemed like an ‘affront’ to many Akans because of his ethnic origins. To them, a Northerner or ‘Tani’ in the local parlance has no right to govern over Akans.

Mahama’s wasn’t and isn’t ethnocentric nor tribalistic. He leads with honesty and dignity to Ghanaians and the world. He had a great vision for this nation until deception and propaganda were accepted into the minds of many who loved trickery!

His only ‘sin’ was that he’s a minority disadvantaged tribe and the majority simply hated a ‘Tani’ leading them.

Kwesi Kyei Darkwah spoke lengthily today at Joynews Tv Station in an interview with Benjamin Akakpo and made some statements to bring clarity to certain issues in the country especially politics and how Mahama was treated unfairly.

He touched on ethnocentrism which has the moral tendency of destroying the peace of the country, especially among people who don’t come from the Northern Part of the country. To him, Akans feel a bit special over other tribes, especially Northerners.

KKD narrated an incident whereby a colleague of his made some ill remarks about Northerners and he reprimanded him for it. According to KKD, the friend asserted “Yen ma Ntafour ndi yen so” to wit “We will not let Northerners rule over us.”

He called him aside and revealed to the friend that his father’s side had ancestors from the North and he has two sisters: one called Adiza with the other called Hawa. Surprisingly, he revealed his northern name as Masawudu to the amazed colleague.
