There is a lot currently going on in this country that all of us need to be abreast with. We are in difficult times as our president told us severally and we need a helping hand from everybody to change the situation. But it seems not everyone is feeling the heat the ordinary Ghanaian is feeling. Some are still living luxury lives at the expense of the taxpayer. This is wrong and must be condemned by all. When you watch the news and you hear what is going on in some government establishments, you will weep for our nation Ghana. It seems some people in this country are more Ghanaian than us.
I was watching Johnnies bite, a news editorial on TV3 that is hosted by Johnnie Hughes. He made some revelations with proof from some letters signed by the government and its representatives. The issue of the extension of contracts for retirees is a source of worry to many. It is prevalent in all other government sectors. The issue of the immigration service according to Johnnie Hughes is causing a lot of discontent within the top hierarchy of the service. He mentioned that some officers are being downgraded for no apparent reason.
According to his sources, some of them haven’t been promoted for a very long time. Meanwhile, some also have been promoted multiple times within a short period. We are complaining that we don’t have money and the government issued a letter to that effect putting a stop to the extension of contracts for retirees. Then days later, the same government writes to approve the contract of another retiree. Is that not the exhibition of double standards? How can you eat your cake and have it back? What are they trying to tell Ghanaians? Why are they stabbing us in the back after putting them in places of authority?
What crimes have Ghanaians committed by voting for these politicians? Only time will tell if we Ghanaians are the cause of our problems.
