[Video] KKD Brilliantly Explains Why He Hasn’t ‘Fired’ John Mahama Like Other Government Officials

Last week, Kwasi Kyei Darkwah made headlines when he sent a feisty message to corrupt government officials. He singled out Ken Ofori Atta, the Finance Minister and noted he was in a case of conflict of interest as he uses his Databank to acquire loans for the country, thereby making huge profit for himself. Government communicators have come out to debunk and condemn the comments of KKD.

On Onua Maakye today, Monday, August 22, 2022 KKD boldly revealed that many are calling on him to also speak about John Mahama. He explained that after his outburst about Akufo-Addo and his officials, there are arguments that he should also speak against John Mahama.

KKD revealed that he doesn’t have much to say about John Mahama because the former president is in opposition. According to him John Mahama is his brother and kin and would have spoken against him if John Mahama was the one in power now. He condemned those asking him to equalize and hit at Mahama and called on them to think about Ghana and not party politics.

“People say when I speak about Nana Addo then I need to also speak about Mahama. Mahama is my brother. I know both Mahama and his brother Ibrahim. I don’t beg from them. He knows I don’t beg. What I have is enough and I even help others. Mahama is not the current president so I cannot speak about him. He has done his part. I only speak to the ones in power” Kwasi Kyei Darkwah explained.

According to KKD, President Akufo-Addo may be trying but those beneath him or his appointees are corrupt and this has affected the perception people have of the president. Many before last week felt that KKD was more inclined to the NPP and so many take his word as genuine when he spoke against the government.

The former CEO of Mega Star Company Limited claimed he has known Akufo-Addo for 35 years and so can boldly speak if he feels things are not well. It will interesting to see how government communicators will respond to today’s comments from KKD.
