Ghanaian Club Puts Up A Splendid Show In WAFU Zone B Tournament

Ampem Darkoa Ladies got the CAF women’s champions league WAFU zone B qualifier to a flying start yesterday.

After full time in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire the Ghana Women’s Premier League champions recorded a 3-0 win USFA of Burkina Faso.

The Ghanaian side had their goals through Elizabeth Owusua, Mavis Owusu plus an own goal from USFA.

USFA is a club owned by the Military of Burkina Faso and competes in the top flight of the Burkina Faso Women’s Football.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies made history in Ghana after winning the 2021/22 Ghana Women’s Premier League.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies defeated their fiercest rivals, Hasaacas Ladies at the Accra Sports Stadium to claim the Premier League title.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies also made history by beating the same side, Hasaacas Ladies in the Women’s FA Cup to make it a double during the season.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies must play above themselves in the WAFU ZONE B tournament to be able to qualify for the CAF Women’s Champions League to be staged in Morocco next year.
