Key Player For Black Princesses Ruled Out Of U20 World Cup

The Black Princesses of Ghana begin their quest for international glory at the U20 World Cup in Costa Rica today. The team from Ghana will face USA in their first match today.

News coming in from the camp of the Black Princesses indicate that key player and captain of the team, Evelyn Badu has been ruled out with an ankle injury.

The young player who was voted as CAF female young best player at the just ended CAF awards was set to be one of the key names to watch at the tournament. The extent of the injury is yet to be known and it has been revealed that further scans will be conducted in the next few hours.

However, it is not looking good for Evelyn Badu as injuries like this take almost 4-8 weeks to overcome. This could mean her tournament is over.

The match against the USA will start at 5:00pm Ghana time. The team will be hoping to make an impression with a win today.
