In the olden days and back at school, one thing we use to boast about in our country is the natural resources being a national Cake to all Ghanaians. This is to implies that, the National Cake does not belongs to one person or a group of people in Government. Rather, national Cake is an asset that all Ghanaians are entitled to benefit from.
Onua TV presenter who is famously known as Yaa Titi, speaks boldly about the type of National cake that we are having in Ghana. Speaking live on Onua TV during the ranting segment, Yaa Titi made it clear that, our National Cake is finished and Ghanaians are only left with the National debt of which that is the only thing Ghanaians can have in common.
” It is very sad when some people are still talking about the National Cake. We don’t have any National Cake in this country any longer. We only have the National Debt. The Finance Minister should bow his head in shame for jubilations over Government decision to borrow from the International Monetary Fund ( IMF). Agriculture is contributing much to our GDP, but our leaders are still importing common food stuffs from outside country. It is finished, we don’t anything called National Cake in this country. We are left with only National debt”. – Yaa Titi stated.
