Abraham Mensah, a determined boxer has this afternoon performed exceptionally well by defeating his wale opponent Owain Harris-Allan in the bantamweight category to advance to the final at the 2022 commonwealth games in Birmingham, UK. The scores of the bout were all in favor of the Ghanaian as he beat the white man 3-0.Â
Its been two decades since Ghana won gold and that was in 1998 in Malaysia where another boxer who was known as Raymond Narh made us proud. It is the time for Abraham to also write his name in the history books and make the country happy.
However, a hurdle needs to be surmounted by the vibrant athlete to win the gold and his next opponent is Dylan Eagleson from Northern Ireland. This fight will take place tomorrow the 7th of August 2022.
