As part of the government’s policies to expand the aviation industry in the country, the President of the Republic of Ghana His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo has inaugurated the Phase I of the Sunyani Airport.
Due to the the COVID-19 pandemic, the aviation business was on hold as part of the world plans to help curb the spread of the virus.
The newly rehabilitated airpot will be able to accommodate small to medium airplanes as till be open for business starting tomorrow August 4, 2022.
During the inauguration, the president also stated that other airport terminals across the country are near completion as this will help boost the aviation sector and generate more revenue for the country.
The president also stated the project was a great sign for greater works to come for Sunyani, the Bono Region and the nation at large.
This big project will look to bring smiles in the faces of the inhabitants of the Bono Region and also show how the government is committed to delivering his promises to the people of Ghana.
