Queen Ruhiya confirms her resignation from Radio Tamale and disclosed the reason behind the resignation.

It was speculated on news portals last week that the popular female presenter was no longer working with the Tamale-based radio firm.

According to the reports, her resignation letter was submitted to the management of the station on Friday, July 29, 2022.

Reacting to the rumor with a statement, Queen Classy as she is nicknamed in the media terrain confirmed the news on Monday, August 1, 2022.

Her caption also reads

“Hello dear readers,

Just as you heard, seen, or read in the news about my resignation from a station I have loved from day one (Radio Tamale); I wish to state that it is not a rumor but a fact. A very sensitive but emotional decision was made, I described it as sensitive and emotional because that is where my radio journey started. We have gone through the good, the bad, and the ugly situations together, just as any serious organization goes through, but we never gave up and held on together. The rest is history, until Friday, July 29 2022 when my role as a broadcaster and presenter for the station ceased.

I have given what belongs to Caesar to Caesar and am now ready to move on to another challenge, which is necessary for life.

This is an appreciation post to all and sundry for your endless and genuine support throughout my journey with the station, through monitoring my programs and contributing by text, Facebook comments, and live calls. I recognize and appreciate the love shown towards the QUEEN Classy brand😊.

After numerous consultations, I want to assure all who believed and supported me that, this is not the end of the journey but the beginning of a beautiful chapter. Stay with me and let’s change the media scope in the northern regions.

Gracias ☺️.”

“During her stay at the station, Queen Classy served as the host of the station’s famous daily program ‘Executive Lunch’ where she hosted resourceful individuals on key issues making waves in various sectors of life including, entertainment, lifestyle, health, and social related matters.

She was also known for one of the most vibrant late-night programs on radio in Tamale dubbed ‘Love Matters’ where she engaged her ever-changing panelists in discussing some key matters of love, relationship, sex, dating, and marriage on Thursdays.”
