A young lady who hails from Konongo-Praso sadly narrates how their neighbour slept with her after she closed from evening classes. The lady said the young man called Paa Akwasi used to help her mother with the basic chores they do in the house. One evening he met him on the way back from evening classes but she noticed he followed her to every where she passed.
She gave him a warning that she will inform her parents if he tries to harm her. She told her brother about it but the following evening she met two young men who are Paa Akwasi’s friends with a knife and threatened to harm her if she doesn’t allow them to do what they have planned, she says one of those boys covered her mouth with a handkerchief and she felt dizzy. The lady added that she woke up to find blood stains on her private parts.
She went home but was not able to inform her father about it because of fear. She didn’t go to school the next day but Paa Akwasi came to inform her that he has gotten what he wants but threatened to harm her if she tries to inform her parents. This incident occurred when her mother was not around, she travelled for a month but when she came back home she noticed some changes in her physical appearance.The mother sent her to the hospital, and the nurses did a thorough examination on her, they found out that she is pregnant.
She then revealed the whole truth to her mother about what happened to her, they informed Paa Akwasi about the pregnancy but he denied that he is not responsible for it. According to the mother she never expected the young man to do that to her daughter. She took him as her son and always provide him with everything. She travelled to sell her things for a month but she came back home to find out what happened but the young man didn’t accept the pregnancy or even take care of her.
