I Disagree Totally With What You Said About The National Cathedral- Avle Speaks Truth To Nana Addo

Yesterday, the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, mounted an unspirited defense for the construction of the National Cathedral. Nana Addo argued that if you look around the world, all the biggest cathedrals were constructed during dire times so he was of the view that no cathedra was constructed at the appropriate time and Ghana is no exception.

Reacting to this, Bernard Allotey Jacobs fired President Nana Addo very hard this time.

“I feel that the religious leaders fear telling him that they disagree. But there is no theology in the Bible that agrees with what he said yesterday. And the fact that no nation was economically prosperous to build a national Cathedraldoes not mean that the building of a national Cathedral should be a priority.

“If Churches have money, they should not contribute it to the building of the National Cathedral. they should rather use it to help feed the schools who are eating gari foto”, he explained.

Bernard Avle stated that he was not trying to act disrespectful or anything but he is rather speaking the truth.
