Hearts of Oak trio scores for Black Galaxies against Benin

The Local Blackstars now known as the Black Galaxies yesterday afternoon beat the Junior Squirrels of Benin by 3 goals to nil.

The game which was played at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium had a change of kick-off as the game was push from 3pm to 4pm.

The Black Galaxies starting 11 consisted of goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim, Imoro Ibrahim, Mohammed Alhassan, Konadu Yiadom, Augustine Randolph, Suraj Seidu, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Gladson Awako, Jonah Attuquaye and Evans Osei-Wusu. 

Ghana begun the game on a blistering pace with beautiful football on display against the Squirrels of Benin. Ghana got themselves a spot kick after a handball incident in the box which was perfectly converted by Accra Hearts of Oak forward Daniel Afriyie Barnieh to give Ghana the lead.

Early minutes of the second half saw another Hearts of Oak player Mohammed Alhassan shot in the second to ease the pressure on the team. Substitute Omar Bashiru brilliant pass to Gladson Awako gave the Ghanaians the third after Awako intelligently placed the ball pass the Benin keeper.
