Hearts of Oak Dealt a Huge Blow Ahead of Pre-Season

Accra Hearts of Oak are set to lose a top star ahead of the start of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.

The Phobians were not in the best of shapes last season, losing the Premier League title to arch rivals, Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

The Phobians were the best side last two seasons, sweeping the board with winning the treble.

They claimed the league title for the first time in over two decades before moving on to beat AshantiGold to win the FA Cup.

Last season was however not the best despite they winning the FA Cup but missing out on the league to Kotoko.

Hearts of Oak will return to the CAF Confederation Cup after beating Bechem United 2-1 to win last season’s FA Cup.

They are however set to lose big time as their central defender, Mohammed Alhassan has decided not to renew his contract.

The news has spread apace with the more reports claiming that the former West Africa Football Academy defender is set to join Iraqi club, Al Kahraba.

The reports also indicate that Mohammed Alhassan has already agreed terms with the Iraqi top flight side which finish mid-table last season.
