The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has made it plain that their main target as a political party is making history by breaking the eight years cycle that characterizes governance by the two major political parties in Ghana.
Many have doubted the agenda given the current state of affairs of the country.
Ghanaian Journalist, Captain Smart who is the Host of Onua TV Maakye Morning Show has added his voice to the big dream of NPP stating that breaking the eight with this performance of Nana Akufo-Addo’s government can only be a reality if something magical happens between now and 2024.
According to Captain Smart, except the NPP is able to do something magical between now and the next general elections, they should forget about breaking the eight. He added that until then, nothing under this sun can make the dream a reality.
He said “until the NPP do ‘something magical’ before December 2024, nothing under the sun can break the eight for the elephant fraternity.”
Captain Smart further stressed that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has high potential to increase their votes in the strong hold of the New Patriotic Party which is Ashanti region than previous years.
He added that the NPP if elections are held today can win close to 30% of votes from the Ashanti region.
Captain Smart said, the opposition National Democratic Congress is likely to amass a 29.7% votes in the Ashanti Region, which is a doom for the NPP with the region being their ‘world bank.”
