Actress Chichi Neblett, a Liberian who now calls Ghana home, claims that her ex-boyfriend used to physically assault her because she was friends with Ghanaian dancehall musician Shatta Wale and Togolese footballer Emmanuel Adebayor.
The actress said that although she was uncertain of the precise extent of her ex-boyfriend’s problems, he supposedly frequently physically abused her.
She knew she talked to Shatta Wale on the phone a lot because she recalled the day her ex-boyfriend beat her till she was bloodied.

“I don’t know what exactly was wrong with this boy. Maybe he was a bipolar patient because he used to beat me sha. I remember a time he caught me chatting with Shatta Wale. He really beat me up,” the Liberian actress opened up to blogger, ZionFelix.
She claimed that things deteriorated once he found out she was in touch with the Togolese striker, Emmanuel Adebayor.

She says the assault she experienced this time landed her in the hospital.
The actress realized that, for her own safety at this moment, she had to take her own road.
She said, “There was a time he saw me chatting with Adebayor, for that one, I woke at the Legon hospital, it was that time I knew I had to break up with this guy else I could die.”
The actress claimed that her unpleasant experience with young men helped her make the decision not to be in a romantic relationship with them.
