The race for playing position in Black Stars continues unabated, especially on the local scene. At the end of the season, some players have thrown out as deserving of a stint in the Senior National team. Football loving fans across Ghana expect an appreciable number of local players to make it to the World Cup later this year.
It is out of the jostle for World Cup slot that Dennis Korsah and Imoro Ibrahim of Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko respectively are facing some comparison. The two players operate as left full back for their clubs.
Imoro Ibrahim was instrumental when Asante Kotoko annexed the league title last season. He did not only defend but was always on the surge whenever his team pushes balls forward. Again, he was good at whipping balls in from dead ball situations, for his teammates to score. Imoro Ibrahim was a delight to watch and had enjoyable moments playing for the reigning champions.
Dennis Korsah joined Accra Hearts of Oak from Cape Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs and did not disappoint. Despite switching camp during the second round of the season, Dennis Korsah worked hard to take over the left full back position. He was appears determined in the early stages of the season but lost his rhythm along the line.
The duo have proven their worth and the final decision will be made by coach Otto Addo and his henchmen.
