Ghanaians currently have lost hope in the New Patriotic Party due tp its failure to fulfill all its promises and also has worsened the condition of the economy. Under its leadership, the country has witnessed a huge decline in GDP and the whole economy at large as a result of coronavirus pandemic and the ongoing Russia Ukraine war. Ghanaians have protested many times to draw governments attention on the skyrocketing prices of goods and services for which the prices of petroleum forms the basis.
Government is taking steps to tackle the situation at hand and has now resorted tot he IMF for support with the hope of reviving the economy at all cost. Government is also working on developmental projects to help revive the economy in all sectors for which he just completed one.
Recently, he inspected the almost completed railways across the country and has given some Ghanaians some level of hope in him.
Presenting to the Metro Mass Limited by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo was forty (40) new metro mass buses to improve the transport sector. This move will go a long way to cut down expenses made by traders and others who seek the services of public transport because the fares for the Metro Mass owned by government is subsidized. He shared in a tweet on the official page of the presidency that “The presence of an efficient transportation system is a vital contributor to the economy and as President, I have made it a priority to re-launch the Metro Mass transport system in the regional capitals through sustained investments in infrastructure and services.”
Following his tweet was reactions of some concerned who came across his post and they applauded him for his efforts and as usual some were also not impressed with the presentation he made tot the transport sector. Below are some of the few reactions I gathered:
