Opinion: Liverpool’s Decision To Hand Salah A Bumper New Contract Suggests They Never Valued Mane

Mo Salah ends his Liverpool stand-off and puts pen to paper on a new three-year contract worth nearly £400,000-a-week to become the best paid player in Anfield history after months of talks

As per Spotrac, a website whose purpose is to disclose player salaries for different clubs and leagues, Mane earns £5.2 million per year, which would come out to £100k a week.

If Sportrac is to be believed, Mane earns as much as Phil Jones at Manchester United or Eddie Nketiah at Arsenal. To offer Milner, a role player that much and to give Salah double what was given to Mane just doesn’t seem like good business from a club that is known for doing good business.

But then, for Liverpool to accept Salah’s demands and reject Mane’s is downright disrespectful and suggests they never valued the Senegalese and was never ready to offer him better salary.

Mohamed Salah signs new Liverpool contract reportedly worth £54.6 million over three years. Salah gets 400k weekly while mane one of Liverpool’s best player gets 100k isn’t unfair? Salah deserves increase salary while mane doesn’t and they let him go whole they kept Salah.
