The Fate of the pressure group known as Arise Ghana:s demonstration will be determined by court today, June 27th, 2022.
The demonstration which is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, 28 and 29th June, to demonstrate against the economic hardships the country such as hikes in fuel price, high cost of living and etc may not happened as scheduled.
This is because the Ghana Police Service says the disagreement with the group over the time for holding the demonstration compelled them to go to court.
The Director of Public Affairs, Chief Superintendent Grace Ansah-Akrofi has therefore issued a statement to that effect.
Though the court is yet to decide the Fate of the demonstration, Arise Ghana pressure group says the demonontration will certainly happen because they have complied with the law.
According to the group, “it was in this country that the dumsor vigil was held. So the police have no excuse to say that the night vigil will affect them.”
