Mary Got Fit is a Ghanaian/Nigerian bodybuilder who is on a journey to become one of the biggest bodybuilders in the world. On a recent interview with BBC the Ghanian builder revealed challenges she encountered and how people demeaned her and said harsh words to her.

She said she started body building at age of 22. Mary said she once dated a man who was very ashamed of her & walk with her. Whenever she goes out people insult her and say she’s a waste to her mother and womanhood.

She said people always tell her no man will marry her because she will be beating her husband. She said she always goto the gym to pour out her pains and cry out her inner pains. She said – “In their mind they believe I won’t ever see a man to marry. But they should not worry, very soon they will see me with my man and my babies.” People told her mother wasted 9 months just to give birth to her.

She said she’s not ashamed of herself and her bodybuilding has connected her to prominent people and don’t care what people say about her anymore. She hopes one day she will find a man who will not be ashamed of her, despite people ridiculing her and made her feel less of a woman.
