The Dean of the School of Performing Arts of the University of Ghana, Professor Kofi Agyekum but popularly called Opanyin Agyekum sends a strong message to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government regarding the improvement and development of our motherland.
According to Opanyin Agyekum, it is okay for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government to be shifting the blame on the other countries for being responsible for the economic crisis in Ghana but one thing they must note is to stop comparing their governance and the economy to that of the other countries.
The pain aspect of the comparison is that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government always compares the current economy of Ghana to the low-performance countries and if this continues, Ghana will not develop to the expectations of the Ghanaians.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) government is supposed to compare the economy of Ghana to the highly developed countries and if this happens, they will be forced to be like them and Ghana will be one of the best nations in the world.
With this message from Opanyin Agyekum, he is trying to tell the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government to compare themselves to the well-developed countries to be like them and ignore the low-performance countries as he made the statement “If you compare your height to a dwarf, you will never become tall”.
