Kwahuhene supports Okwawu United as they seek qualification to the Division One League

Former Elite Division campaigners Okwawu United have been urged to go all out and qualify to the National Division One League, DOL next season.

The race to secure that berth starts on Wednesday when the Eastern Regional Second Division Middle League commences at four centres.

And ahead of their participating in the tournament, the Life Patron of the club Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II has tasked and supported Okwawu United to pick the sole ticket to the DOL next season.

“As the Life Patron of Okwawu United, I encourage the playing body, technical team, management and board of the team to go all out to qualify for Division One”, Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II said in a message to the club ahead of the start of the middle league competition.

Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II is the Kwahuhene, (Ruler of the Kwahu traditional area), and, he has also made a financial contribution to the club as a booster towards their participating in the tournament.

Okwawu United have been paired in Group A alongside Port City FC, Susubiribi United and Galaxy FC for the tournament.

In Group B, Africa Talents, Asamankese AC Milan, Kotoku Rush Soccer Academy and Real Kpone FC have been put together to contest for qualification.

Four venues, Takyiman Methodist School Park, Asuom SHS Park, Tafo Rovers Park and the Kibi Astro Turf, will be used for this round-robin contest.

The two first two sides in each group on the table after the league phase, will move on to contest another round-robin contest where the eventual winner will represent the Eastern Region in the DOL league next season.
