Another Sad Story As Ghanaian Players Are Leaving The Football Camp

The Ghana national football team represents Ghana in men’s international football and has done so since the 1950s. The team consists of twenty players the technical team. The team is nicknamed the Black Stars after the Black Star of Africa in the flag of Ghana.

The four-national tournament which includes Ghana, Japan, Chile and Tunisia will be played in Japan and the Black Stars start their game with the host, Japan tomorrow. Depending on the results, Ghana will meet Chile or Tunisia for either first place or third-place match.

Just like in the case of Baba Iddrisu, The Mallorca midfielder was granted permission by the Ghana national team to leave camp and hold talks with the interested clubs. The 26-year-old featured in Ghana’s doubleheader in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar and the Central Africa Republic.

A number of the Ghanaian players have also been affected by COVID-19 while some are attending to other matters of equal importance. These matches are supposed to serve as preparatory games for the team’s campaign in the upcoming world cup in Qatar and it is a bit of a challenge seeing the coach would have wanted to assess some players.
