A Nigerian lady by the name of Vicky Umodu who is currently based in California, United States of America is reported to have returned an amount of $36,000 she found inside the couch she ordered online. Vicky Umodu just moved into her new home and wanted to purchase furniture for her hall. She looked through the popular online shop named “Craigslist” and surprisingly found a couch that someone was giving away for free.
Within a few days, she finally received delivery of the free couch she found online. Upon unwrapping the couch, Vicky reported she saw something unusual. The couch was stuffed with bank deposit envelopes and manila clasp envelopes filled with cash. Most had dollar amounts scrawled on them as if somebody had been keeping track of what was tucked inside.
According to Vicky Umodu, the amount totaled $36,000. She, however, notified the family she got the couch from, offering to return the money she found. The family said they were not sure why so much cash was on the couch and they later discovered hundreds of dollars stashed away in their home.
