A former Presidential Aspirant in Ghana has boldly revealed how Chairman Wontumi managed to retain his position as the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party. He dropped more secrets about the NPP internal elections, especially in Ashanti.
The New Patriotic Party are undergoing internal elections in their party. They’ve already completed polling stations, constituency, and regional elections. They’re now left with the National elections. In the regional elections, Chairman Wontumi won in the Ashanti Region to retain his seat.
Meanwhile, a former Presidential Aspirant, Akwasi Addai Odike has boldly revealed that Chairman Wontumi was very unpopular before the elections but he only won because he shared 300 Uber cars among the delegates. He revealed that the NPP is splashing a lot of money in their internal elections and it’s evident for everyone to see.
” What the NPP is doing is not internal elections. There is nothing like elections in what they are doing. I say this because it’s not free and fair. Everyone in the Ashanti region knows that Chairman Wontumi was unpopular and was going to lose but he won because he shared 300 Uber cars among the delegates. I am telling you. The NPP election is a show of who has more money and for me, it’s scary for our democracy. We should put a stop to it.” Akwasi Addai Odike revealed this on Angel FM in Kumasi.
