The education minister has been fingered in a 1.2 million dollars scandal. The education minister was ensuring quality education to all Ghanaians. He made people believe that quality education being a priority will reach the doorstep of every child in Ghana. These were mere statements but he later came out to prove to Ghanaians that there were significant progresses in the education sector under his watch and received several applauds for this. One thing that people detest most in this country is when you are seen as a black sheep instead of the white glowing one you earlier portrayed yourself to be.
Not to say he was involved directly or is guilty of these charges, these words are only picked from the reactions on social media based on his involvement in this scandal from World Bank. The Ghana education service have been called out by several other people with the popular teacher Kwadwo, social media creator cum teacher leading to his dismissal from the education sector. But were his allegations true? Are these scams and scandals having anything to do with the earlier allegations from the recently dismissed teacher?
The education minister has come out to denounce the claims that he was involved in a scam whiles making the trending comment that he did not come to Ghana to scam Ghanaians through these things. He also alleged that the funds given them have been sitting in the account of the Ghana education service untouched and that is something they can easily proof. The major reason for the funding according to the education minister was that they were training teachers. This according to the World Bank was not the case and was what looked like a scam. The education minister also claims this was genuine and the teachers have been trained with their number exceeding that which was estimated by the GES.
