Kwaku Azar Outlines Steps To Reclaim The Achimota Forest Back

Lawyer and KPMG Professor in Accounting at the Fisher School of Accounting, University of Florida Stephen Kwaku Asare widely known as Kwaku Azar following the ongoing Achimota Forest saga has outline ways to reclaim the Achimota forest.

In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Monday, 23rd May 2022, he wrote;

“The first step is a complete revocation of the interest granted to the Owoo family.

The next step is to ring-fence the forest reserve from interference for the next 50 years.

The third step is to revoke EI 144.

The final step is to probe the circumstances leading to the unlawful reversion of the interest to the Owoo family, and the subsequent leasing and subleasing of that interest.

All wrongdoers in this sordid attempt to raid our forest reserves must be held accountable. No exceptions!

GOGO will not fall asleep while a few Ghanafuo donkome our forest reserves.”

The comments of Kwaku Azar is rooted to the recent leak WILL the former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) , Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Sir John who was also the Head of the Forestry Commission.

In the WILL, Sir John stated that he gives his lands in the Achimota forest reserve which has recently been declassified by the government to some of his family members.
