Enough Is Enough: We Have Been Silent But That Does Not Mean We Have Forgotten

A top journalist with Multimedia, Kojo Yankson, has brought into memory, a strong promise that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo made to Ghanaians. Ever since the news about how a young was shot by the Police in Nkoranza spread, almost everyone forgot about how 7 Zongo youths were killed in the Ashanti region by the Police for allegedly firing gunshots at the Police.

As expected, the issue was sent to a commission of inquiry and the discovery was that the 7 youths did not fire any shots at the Police.

“In January, the following year, President Nana Addo announced that processes have been initiated to prosecute any policemen who acted outside the rigor of the law. To this day, the 21 policemen who were interdicted have not been prosecuted.

We may be quiet about this but we have not forgotten”, Kojo Yankson explained.
