Ghanaian actress and movie producer, Yvonne Nelson has revealed why she always chooses Accra as her location when it comes to her movie premieres.
She gave reasons why she prefers Accra to Kumasi in a recent interview she had on the popular Ghanaian radio station, Hitz FM.
In her view, she does not see the business sense of having a movie premiere in Kumasi and since any business person works for money, she settles on Accra due to the fact that her target market is situated there.
“It doesn’t make business sense to me to premiere a movie at the Kumasi cinemas. We sold 3,000 tickets of “The Men We Love” at 9pm ahead of the screening.
Ghanaians love our movies. They want to watch our movies. I have stopped fighting for the industry. What can I do? I am just minding my business and producing my movies.”
The actress was born on November 12, 1985. She has starred in several movies and some of these movies are 4Play Reloaded, Any Other Monday, The Black Taliban, Blood is Thick, Classic Love, Crime Suspect, Crime to Christ, Deadly Passion, Deadly Plot, Desperate to Live, Diary of a Player, Doctor May, Fantasia, Festival of Love, and Folly.
