The Executive Director of Africa Educational Watch (EduWatch) has lamented that although basic schools will resume tomorrow, 10th May 2022, there are still no text books for the learners to use for the new curriculum.
He said that, it has been three (3) years now since the introduction of the New Curriculum but no text books have been provided.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page on, Monday, 9th May 2022, he wrote;
“Today is 9th May; basic schools re-open tomorrow. There are still NO textbooks, three years into the new curriculum era. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Ghana Education Service, Naccaghana, where are the textbooks please?

The Executive Director of Africa Educational Watch also shared a link to refer the comments made by the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Education in January 2022.
“A spokesperson for the Education Ministry, Mr. Kwasi Kwarteng, has assured that basic schools across the country will receive textbooks for the new curriculum for upper and lower primary by March this year.” The link revealed.
