The host of Good Evening Ghana on Metro TV, Paul Adom Octhere has boldly questioned why Ghanaian journalists are not telling the citizens the truth about why Ghana dropped in the press freedom ranking.
Ghana dropped in the recently released press freedom ranking by 30 places and it has been a great concern for journalists in Ghana. Most of them have been blaming Akufo-Addo for how bad he’s been maltreating journalists.
Meanwhile, Paul Adom Octhere speaking on his show on Thursday, May 5th, 2022 revealed that Ghana dropped because of the recent methodology they used and he’s surprised most of these journalists in Ghana have decided not to talk about that.
” Ghana dropped in the press freedom ranking because they changed their methodology. Ghana failed woefully in the economic indicator area and that has nothing to do with President Akufo-Addo. The economic indicator talks about how people pay for the journalist services to listen to or watch them as Dstv has but in Ghana, we don’t pay to watch TV3, Metro TV, or any media. GTV failed with the TV license and you blame Akufo-Addo? Why are these journalists in the country not telling Ghanaians the truth?” Paul Adom Octhere boldly asked on his show.
