Former Chairman of Asante Kotoko and President of the Ghana Rugby Football Union, Herbert Mensah has reposed confidence in the leadership of the Chief Executive Officer of the team, Nana Yaw Amponsah.
Speaking in an interview on Peace FM’s Power Sports, Herbert Mensah vouched for Nana Yaw Amponsah to lead the football club to achieving its goals and make great strides in the world of football.
He strongly opined that the Kotoko CEO is “moving in the right direction . . . Nana Yaw has made huge strides. We’ve seen it commercially with sponsorship deals . . . If you don’t have the money, you’re wasting time. If you don’t have source of capital, you are wasting time”.
Herbert Mensah called for massive support for the club’s CEO also stressing, “Nana Yaw is brought a level of professionalism into Kotoko and I think he has to be encouraged”.
Mandate Extension
Asante Kotoko’s Board of Directors, according to a publication on ghanasoccernet.com, are considering extending the mandate of Nana Yaw Amponsah.
A board member, Kwadwo Boateng Genfi corroborated the performance of the the club’s CEO saying he has been impressive and congratulated him for the transformation he’s brought to Asante Kotoko.
“We are considering allowing him to continue beyond his tenure,” Kwadwo Boateng Genfi revealed the intent of the Board of Directors.
