Asante Kotoko striker Frank Mbella has reiterated that his main focus for the season is to help the porcupine warriors win the Ghana Premier League. That is his aim. Anything else that comes with it will be a bonus for him. He is not obsessed with scoring goals and winning the top scorer award but rather he wants to help the team to win trophies.
Nonetheless, the Cameroonian import is very sure he will score more goals in the games left to achieve his objective of helping the club. “We are focused on winning the league and that is my objective”, he said after scoring the match-winner against WAFA SC on Saturday in Sogakope. “Being the goal king is a bonus. I believe I will score more goals with help of my colleagues”, he added.
Asante Kotoko is in a pole position to win the league. Barring any catastrophic conclusion to the season, they should be crowned champions at the end of the season.
