The Youth of Dagbon have exhibited their profound admiration for His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II as he celebrates his 23 years on the Golden Stool as Asantehene.
Speaking on Opemsuo Radio with Wofa Yamoa Frimpong on the Nkwantananso morning show, Otumfuo’s 23rd Anniversary Edition, the Chairman of Dagbon Youth Association, Alhaji Jagbo Baako, said Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is highly recognized as a “king of peace” in Dagbon.
He highlighted that, this is due to Otumfuo’s remarkable intervention in the Dagbon Chieftaincy dispute that resulted in total peace in Dagbon land.
Mr. Alhaji Jagbo recounted that, the incredible way of patience, wisdom, understanding, tolerance, and peace through which he mediated and settle the dispute is quite noteworthy. He added that, it is a blessing for Ghana, Africa, and the whole world to have a king of his caliber which must be celebrated, and such achievement is to be put in history for the posterity to learn from.
Mr. Alhaji Jagbo Baako stated that, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has impacted Africa so much that the entire Chieftaincy institution must emulate.
“The Dagbon Youth Association Chairman, therefore, proposed that, the Asantehene’s outstanding way of conflict resolution is worth emulating and that, a school or an institution be set up in his name purposely to train students in proper conflict resolution mechanism to help Ghana as a country and Africa as a continent”, he added.
