Did The Government Agree To It Or Not? Oliver Baker Serves It Hot Again To Nana Addo-Led Government

Fix the country convenor Oliver Baker-Vormawor has through his Facebook page delved into another worrying matter that has seen many hit the streets to demonstrate against the current sitting president His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

According to the Association, over a year after their proposed salary structure was sent to the Finance Ministry to deal with it, they are yet to communicate anything to them despite persistent reminders.

He made this known in support of the agenda to demonstrate and seek for what is rightfully for [The Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana]

He said: I don’t know why everyone is blaming CLOSSAG over the neutrality allowance. The real question is: did the Government agree to it or not? Is the Government not justifying it? So why blame CLOSSAG?

Public sector workers are ridiculously underpaid. Period. Civil servants sit and watch political appointees to the ministries being paid more than their annual salaries in 1 month.

It takes a lot to work for Ghana when persons around you are raiding the public treasury.

If Ex-gratia continues to be paid, if political appointees continue to earn the monies they earn; then I think the neutrality allowance is rather low. Peg it to the Ex-gratis.

But perhaps the arrangement where citizens wait for political parties to present their manifestos for sovereign votes must be reconsidered.

Why not citizens present their manifesto; any political party interested in the sovereign votes of the citizens must accept the Citizen Manifesto?

That is accept our manifesto and we will vote for that political party. Reject our manifesto and we will reject that political party.

It will do a lot of good should the government look into this matter while subsequent governments must take this crucial.
